As we step into a new year, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all IEEE Indonesia members, volunteers, officers, chapter leaders, affinity groups, and student branches for your dedication, passion, and continued contributions. Your commitment has enabled IEEE Indonesia Section to grow stronger and more impactful, both nationally and globally.
The year 2025 marked an important milestone for IEEE Indonesia Section. As of 31 December 2025, the IEEE Indonesia Section has reached 3,169 members, marking a significant growth of our Section, established on 16 February 1988. This achievement, alongside increased professional activities, strengthened student engagement, and expanded international collaboration, reflects our shared spirit of volunteerism and our collective commitment to advancing technology, research, and professional excellence for the benefit of society.
In 2026, IEEE Indonesia Section will continue to focus on:
- Enhancing member value through high-quality technical, educational, and professional development programs,
- Empowering students and young professionals as future technology leaders,
- Strengthening collaboration among industry, academia, and government to address national and global challenges,
- Advancing humanitarian technologies and promoting impactful community service programs that deliver tangible benefits to society, and
- Improving the quality and global visibility of IEEE conferences and publications in Indonesia, ensuring high standards of technical excellence, relevance, and scholarly impact.
As Indonesia moves forward in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, IEEE Indonesia Section is well-positioned to serve as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, leadership development, and global connectivity. I encourage all members to actively engage, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute ideas that will shape meaningful impact in 2026 and beyond.
