IEEE Indonesia Section successfully conducted the Workshop in Conference Management (WCM) #1 2026 on 7–8 February 2026 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia. The workshop was attended by approximately 150 participants, consisting of conference organizers, chapter representatives, and committee members from various institutions across Indonesia.

This two-day workshop was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of IEEE conference governance, quality assurance, and administrative procedures, particularly for conferences scheduled in 2026 and the following years. The day concluded with technical sessions on proceedings preparation covering PDF eXpress, eCopyright, CrossCheck, and contract management systems, followed by a best practice sharing session from sections and chapters.

On Day 2, the workshop continued with a more hands-on approach through Technical Assistance sessions. Participants received practical guidance on conference management tools including EDAS, EasyChair, and CMT, followed by an in-depth technical assistance session on CMANIS and overall conference management workflows. These sessions allowed participants to directly discuss implementation challenges and clarify technical and administrative aspects of conference organization.

Discussions and interactive sessions reflected a strong commitment from conference organizers to continuously improve the quality and compliance of IEEE conferences in Indonesia. The event concluded with a closing session summarizing key takeaways and reinforcing the importance of consistent standards in conference management.
