The IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk 2026 Vol. 1 was successfully conducted as an online event organized by IEEE Student Branch Universitas Brawijaya. The event aimed to bring together IEEE Student Branch leaders across Indonesia to share insights, strengthen collaboration, and enhance leadership as well as organizational capabilities.

The event began with an opening session, followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and opening remarks. The first keynote session was delivered by Amanda Julia Isa, Chair of the Student Activities Committee (SAC) IEEE Indonesia Section. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of building strong communities within IEEE, developing leadership skills, and maximizing IEEE membership benefits to access global opportunities. She also shared her personal journey and experiences, illustrating how active involvement in IEEE can contribute significantly to both personal and professional growth.

The session was followed by remarks from Dr. Eng. Ir. Sunu Wibirama, Vice Chair of IEEE Indonesia Section. He highlighted the importance of being proactive as an IEEE member, encouraging participants to actively seek information, participate in activities, and fully utilize the benefits provided by IEEE. He also stressed the importance of collaboration and expanding the impact of IEEE by involving more students.

After the keynote sessions, the event continued with sharing sessions, discussions, and presentations from various IEEE Student Branch representatives. These activities allowed participants to exchange ideas, present their Student Branch programs, and discuss strategies to improve organizational performance and collaboration among branches. An ice-breaking session was also conducted to maintain engagement and create a more interactive atmosphere throughout the event.

One of the main highlights of the event was the awarding session, where several Student Branches were recognized for their outstanding performance. IEEE Tel-U Student Branch was awarded as the Most Active Student Branch, IEEE ITS Student Branch received the Best Presentation award, and IEEE Ubakrie Student Branch was recognized as the Most Active Session Winner as well as the Outstanding Collaboration Winner. In addition, an overall ranking of Student Branch performance was presented based on evaluation metrics such as presentation quality, activity reports, and collaboration. This session served as a motivation for all participants to continuously improve and contribute more actively within IEEE.

Overall, the event successfully provided valuable insights into leadership, community development, and professional growth. It also strengthened networking among IEEE Student Branches across Indonesia and encouraged participants to actively engage in both local and global IEEE activities. The event concluded with a documentation session and closing remarks, marking the successful completion of the program.
