The IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk 2026 Vol. 2 was successfully conducted as a hybrid event organized by IEEE Student Branch Universitas Bakrie. The event brought together IEEE Student Branch leaders, counselors, and members from across Indonesia to share experiences, insights, and best practices in leadership, organizational development, and professional readiness.

The event began with opening remarks and continued with a series of insightful sharing sessions from distinguished speakers. One of the key sessions was delivered by Muhammad Rendra Perdana Kusuma Djaka, Vice Secretary of IEEE Young Professionals Indonesia Section. In his presentation, he shared insights on the role of IEEE Young Professionals and highlighted various activities conducted at both national and international levels. He emphasized that IEEE serves as a platform not only for student development but also for long-term career preparation, bridging the transition from student members to young professionals.

He explained that IEEE activities extend beyond local engagement, including participation in Region 10 initiatives, international collaborations, and global conferences. He also shared examples of programs such as sharing sessions, lecture programs with international speakers, YP Talk Series, and collaborative events across universities. Furthermore, he highlighted opportunities for students to participate in competitions, internships, and global programs, encouraging them to actively engage and build strong leadership skills, time management, and professional competencies.

The session also included an interactive discussion where participants asked questions regarding opportunities for students to transition into Young Professionals. It was emphasized that students can access these opportunities through active participation in IEEE activities, competitions, and collaborative programs, as well as through upcoming internship and fellowship opportunities within IEEE networks.

Another key session was delivered by Amanda Julia Isa, Chair of the Student Activities Committee IEEE Indonesia Section. She expressed appreciation for the organizing committee from Universitas Bakrie and highlighted the consistent implementation of the IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk program since 2021. She also shared updates regarding the structure and development of IEEE Student Activities in Indonesia, including the expansion of the committee and the involvement of new universities.

During her session, she introduced new leadership roles within the Student Activities Committee, including the appointment of Egbert Felica Wibawanto from Universitas Bakrie as Lead of Educational Program and Aina Salsabila from Universitas Brawijaya as Lead of Technical Program. A symbolic pin awarding session was conducted as a form of recognition and official appointment, representing their responsibility in supporting student branch development across Indonesia.

She further explained the importance of preparing students for the transition from student members to young professionals. The session highlighted various opportunities available within IEEE, such as scholarships, grants, competitions, fellowships, and internships. Participants were encouraged to actively utilize IEEE resources and platforms to build their portfolios, expand their networks, and prepare for future careers in academia, industry, or entrepreneurship.

Throughout the event, participants from both onsite and online sessions actively engaged in discussions and knowledge sharing. The hybrid format enabled broader participation and strengthened collaboration among IEEE Student Branches nationwide.

As part of the event highlight, an awarding session was also conducted to recognize outstanding Student Branch performance. IEEE Student Branch ITB was awarded as the Best Presentation winner in Leaders Talk Vol. 2. This recognition served as motivation for all participating Student Branches to continue improving their performance, fostering innovation, and contributing actively within the IEEE community.

Overall, the IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk 2026 Vol. 2 successfully provided valuable insights into leadership development, professional readiness, and the transition from student to young professional within IEEE.
