The Online Tutorial on IEEE Senior Member Elevation Application was successfully conducted as an interactive session organized by IEEE Indonesia Section. The event aimed to assist IEEE members, particularly officers and active volunteers, in completing and submitting their Senior Member elevation applications through direct guidance.
The event began with opening remarks by Kurnianingsih, Chair of IEEE Indonesia Section, who emphasized the importance of increasing the number of IEEE Senior Members in Indonesia as part of strengthening professional recognition. This was followed by remarks from Arief Hamdani, who encouraged participants to pursue Senior Member elevation as recognition of their professional contributions and experience.
The main session was facilitated by Pradini Puspitaningayu, who guided participants through the application process. She explained key requirements, including professional experience narratives, significant performance statements, CV submission, and the need for three Senior Member references. Participants were advised to clearly present their achievements and contributions in narrative form rather than copying directly from their CVs.
During the session, participants were guided step-by-step through the application platform and were given the opportunity to ask questions and receive direct assistance. The session was designed to enable participants to complete and submit their applications on the same day through interactive discussion and real-time support.
Overall, the tutorial effectively provided practical guidance and increased participants’ understanding of the Senior Member application process. It also encouraged members to elevate their professional status within IEEE and actively contribute to strengthening the IEEE community in Indonesia.
