The IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk 2025, organized under the auspices of the IEEE Indonesia Section, successfully took place on Sunday, March 23, 2025. This event was designed to foster enhanced communication between the leaders and members of various IEEE Student Branches across Indonesia, with an additional goal of building synergy for the development and execution of more effective work programs. Not only did the event serve as a platform for professional collaboration, but it also included a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) session, which was instrumental in strengthening camaraderie and solidarity among the participants.
The program commenced at 16:30 and was held at the residence of Amanda Julia, Chair of the Student Activities Committee (SAC) Indonesia Section. The event spanned several hours, concluding at 19:40 WIB. The agenda was carefully curated to encourage productive dialogue and collaboration between Student Branch leaders.
To begin, the Vice Chair of the IEEE Indonesia Section delivered a formal opening speech, setting the tone for the event, followed by welcoming remarks from the Chair of SAC. After the introductions, the main segment of the event centered on presentations by each Student Branch leader, where they articulated their respective vision and mission for their branches. The leaders also outlined the programs and activities they have planned for 2025, sharing both their goals and the potential challenges they anticipate. This portion of the event also served as an opportunity for interactive discussion, where leaders could exchange insights on overcoming obstacles within their Student Branches, identify opportunities for improvement, and further collaboration.
Following the presentation session, a support forum was held to facilitate a more in-depth discussion between the IEEE Student Branches and the IEEE Indonesia Section regarding the forms of support needed to help the branches achieve their goals. This dialogue enabled both parties to gain a clearer understanding of how the Section can assist the branches, particularly in addressing operational and strategic challenges.
One of the highlights of the event was the communal iftar, which not only provided sustenance but also served as an important social event. This session helped deepen relationships among the Student Branch leaders and foster a sense of unity. Personal interactions, enhanced by the relaxed and communal atmosphere of breaking fast together, were key in building trust and long-lasting professional relationships among the attendees.
The event was attended by key leaders of various IEEE Student Branches in Indonesia, including:

- Irfan Fakhri Habibi (IEEE UNESA),
- M. Shafa Sauditya (IEEE ITB),
- Rachmat Fachrurrozi (IEEE AMIKOM Yogyakarta),

- Yasser Farid Lahmadi (IEEE Universitas Pertamina),
- Egbert Felicia W. (IEEE Universitas Bakrie),
- I Wayan Angga W. (IEEE Udayana), and

Overall, the event was deemed a resounding success, with active participation from all involved. The discussions were both productive and focused on aligning the various work programs of the Student Branches. One notable point of feedback was the recommendation to involve more industry professionals in future events to provide additional perspectives and enrich the discussions. The event also ran smoothly in terms of timing and organization, which contributed to its positive reception.
Financially, the event was managed effectively, with detailed accounting of the received and used funds. The IEEE Indonesia Section contributed IDR 2,300,000 toward the event, which covered expenses such as transportation for committee members, door prizes, administrative costs, and a digital backdrop. A balance of IDR 278,654 remained, which will be reserved for future IEEE activities.
In conclusion, the IEEE Student Branch Leaders Talk 2025 achieved its objectives of enhancing cooperation among Student Branches and strengthening the support systems necessary for future success. The organizing committee extends its sincere gratitude to the IEEE Indonesia Section for their continued support and to all participants for their contributions to the event’s success.
