The IEEE Indonesia Section completed the 2025 Chair Election Process in its entirety on June 10, 2024. The voting process was held on May 9 – June 10, 2024, which resulted in the election of Dr. Kurnianingsih as the 2025 Section Chair.
The IEEE Indonesia Section congratulates Dr. Kurnianingsih, who has been appointed as Chair-elect of the IEEE Indonesia Section for 2025 following the voting result, in which she collected 194 out of 338 votes. The Section expects that Dr. Kurnianingsih and her team will lead the Indonesia Section to success in accomplishing many achievements and bringing the Section towards a bright future, both locally and regionally.
The Section also thanks Dr. Agnes Irwanti and her team who have actively participated in this candidacy selection process. We wish she remains enthusiastic to devote her time and energy to the Section, which many times proves to be instrumental to the success of the Section programs and activities.
We express our sincere thanks to the IEEE Indonesia Section Election Committee for the excellent implementation of the election process, and to the Section Advisory Committee for their directions and positive gestures during the election process. The 2025 Chair Election itself was a rare occasion in which all the candidates were women, a testament to the strong commitment of the Indonesia Section in supporting the role of female volunteers.
To ensure a smooth transition of the Section leadership towards the 2025 term, the Section Chair-elect will be involved in the activities of the 2024 Executive Committee until the end of the year.
